PENN Torque S5 Spinning Reels

Penn has introduced a reel designed to meet the needs of the avid saltwater angler. Built to take on shark, striper, yellowfin, cobia and other similar gamefish, this reel is fully sealed, so salt and sand simply can’t get in. The body is machined aluminum with 7+1 stainless steel bearings and Penn’s patented oversized HT-100 Versa-drag ensuring smoothness when it counts. An integral clutch sleeve eliminates backplay. The stainless steel bail uses a unique system to let the angler choose between manual and automatic trip at the touch of a switch. The high-capacity spools are braid-ready, so you know they’re tough enough for big fish.

Comments about Torque S5 Spinning Reels:

Have used reel now for 4 months on a Star Paraflex rod and have found combo to be the finest I have ever had the pleasure to use in tough spots. The reel and rod combo to date fishing around structures I've landed and released at local bridges El Joelbean and Matlache fishing from boat in the late P.M. and early A.M. 37 40" plus size snook. Oh by the way 2 great grandpas 46" and 47". This combo ha worked flawlessly together and DANG easy to use .Just the best like I said I have had the pleasure to use!!!
