Dual-Purpose AGM Batteries

AGM batteries are great in both deep cycle and starting applications. They charge more quickly than conventional batteries, they have low self-discharge rates and they’re maintenance-free—no need to add water. The spill-proof, valve-regulated design eliminates acid spills and terminal corrosion. AGM batteries are safer to operate than conventional flooded batteries, as the chance of explosion or acid spray is reduced. Their flexible design allows them to be installed in almost any position (except upside-down), and they are resistant to vibration damage. Rated at 300 cycles. 18-month free replacement warranty.

            Comments about Dual-Purpose AGM Batteries:

I bought 4 105 amp batteries on 5--7-13 (2years, 2 months) 3 are dead, and West Marine says sorry, no help. They said they would take them back as cores!! Would not recommend. ( last 4 batteries lasted 7 years).

                  Comments about Dual-Purpose AGM Batteries:

Purchased and installed, but have not used yet. Price (sale) was good and I know that West Marine backs their product. Need a longer term, hassle free, product to fit my skiff. Assistance at store was great. They helped me narrow down to my needs. Hopefully they were right and product is as advertised. Otherwise, I know West Marine will make right.
