Rub rails for use with rigid vinyl rails or as a stand-alone with molded ends.

Stainless steel rub rails offer a nice detail to the shear of a boat. Taco Marine offers a variety of rub rail sections to match a wide range of applications. Some rails can be used in conjunction with mounted rigid vinyl rub rail systems to add protection and a contrasting detail. Other rails are ideal for use all alone and add a nice highlight between the deck and the hull.

Solid back  is ideal as stand-alone rub rail that is best installed on flat surfaces. The ends can be ground to any shape and polished to restore the finish without compromising corrosion resistance. There are a couple of sizes to choose from to match a desired look or meet a specific function. Solid back rails can also be used for rub strakes where lines hit hard on gelcoat and painted surfaces. All solid back sections are 316 polished stainless steel pre-drilled and counter-sunk for fasteners on 6” centers.

Hollow back rub rails offer a little more versatility and are more forgiving when installed on angled or less than flat surfaces; the relief on the back side allows the rail to cover minor surface imperfections. Hollow back also works with Taco rigid vinyl rub rail to add structure and a highlighted detail. Check the profile of the section of the rigid rub rail to match the correct stainless steel rail width to what has been molded into the vinyl. Like the solid back, hollow back can also be used as a rub strake to protect gelcoat and paint from chafe damaged caused by lines. All Hollow back sections are 304 polished stainless steel pre-drilled and counter-sunk for fasteners on 6" centers

Rail ends provide a nice detail to finish a section of rub rail. They can be used at the bow or stern to “dive” the rail into the surface and eliminate sharp edges and unsightly gaps. They are a time saving alternative to grinding and polishing sold back rails. Available in widths to match commonly used hollow or solid back rub rails they add a professional and finished look. Rail ends are polished 304 stainless steel and pre-drilled and counter-sunk on 6” centers
