I use WD-40 for so many things. I keep my own can in under the kitchen sink. My hubby knows he better leave my can alone. If he can't find his can in the garage then its time to clean it. Its wonderful for cleaning off black heel marks on the floor. I've used it on gum in the kids hair. Crayon marks on a window seal.ï?1/2Squeakyï?1/2door hinges and the list goes on and on. The best thing is getting spray paint off my hands, arms, hair and any other place I end up with paint. It also works great onï?1/2permanentï?1/2marker on skin.ï?1/2

I used to love this product, with the old cans with a straw hooked to the side. This new design is terrible. I bought a can, and after using half it decided to quit spraying. So i bought another can, it did the same thing. I decided to give it one more try, and to no avail, another can quit spraying once it was half used. I'm not the only issue. I have watched friends smash these cans into the ground or throw them across the shop they were so mad due to the same exact thing happening to them multiple times. I now buy the penetrating lubricant on the same shelf for half the price and it works until the can is empty and does just what I need it to do. I have tried returning these cans to the store, I collected all of mine, my friends, and families half empty cans (10+ cans) and put them in a box and took them back to where i purchase them. They told me there was nothing they could do about it. I will never purchase this product again.

Do not buy this stuff

By Colt 1911

from Biglerville, PA, United States

Comments about WD 40 Lube:

I have used this product for years without a problem, I now have three cans ea. 1/2 full that will not spray. I am now buying a competitors product (CRC) without any problems and it is cheaper, this product is not what it used to be.

oops! a Problem!

By Susie F

from Vacaville, CA, United States

Comments about WD 40 Lube:

I love WD-40, have for years, but my can stopped spraying! It's clogged! Anyone have that happen to them???? With the smart straw up or down, it just started to plug up! It's almost 1/2 full, but doesn't make the aerosol spray noise, how can I clear it? I clear hairspray nozzles by holding them under hot water, can I try that? Should I stick a pin in the hole? HELP!!! I refuse to throw it out, and won't buy a new can until I get an answer from you! Until I'm sure this won't happen again!

Good product, top is NO good.

By brad82

Comments about WD 40 Lube:

I now have 2 half full cans of this laying around. Ran out of propellant again, never had that problem with the original style can top. Guess i'll try the non-aerosol version hopefully that works. Sometimes I wonder if companies even test this stuff for more than a day.

1/2 can wasted-won't spray

By prushman

from Santa Rosa, CA, United States

Comments about WD 40 Lube:

I threw out 2 half cans that stopped working. I watched the videos-no good, Both were "smart straw" cans-JUNK. Will never buy theses again. WD 40 has been around a long time but your new stray cans while it sounds good on paper are uneffective. I might consider the regular spray cans but I advise against these!

Cans stop spraying half full

By Bob Ra

from MA

Comments about WD 40 Lube:

Great producer BUT I have 2 cans, half full which will not spray. Your site says this is common in this industry, then sell for half the price since we only get half the product to use.

Doesn't work, can leaks at joint

By notneeded

from Undisclosed

Comments about WD 40 Lube:

No liquid comes out of the straw or the spray nozzle, instead it leaks from where the rotating joint meets the can and oozes out onto your hand.

Leaky can

By donnapete22

from Oberlin, LA, United States

Comments about WD 40 Lube:

Have never had a problem like this before......works great, always has, BUT, had a can setting on a shelf in my storage room, not too hot or too cold, and it somehow leaked, a lot. Ate paint off of another can of whatever, dripped down the shelves and pooled onto other shelves and some plastic trays....hardened a little, was easy to scrape off with minimal effort, but actually pitted one plastic tray while another type of the same make was unharmed.....never had this happen before and have had cans set for multiple years, way longer than this one......???????????any ideas why?????

"Smart Straw" is Absolutely Useless

By Rbobhowe

from Massillon Ohio

Comments about WD 40 Lube:

I bought several cans of WD-40, intrigued by the Smart Straw---and was immediately disappointed. Upon my first attempt a small rubber washer fell out of the supposedly Smart Straw; I attempted to replace the washer, but the plastic parts of the straw are so soft that pieces were no longer able to be rejoined. My second attempt: the WD-40 sprays everywhere EXCEPT through the ports on the friggin' straw. What a complete waste of product--I am sorely disappointed. I'm off to dig through the recycling to see if I can locate the old spray nozzle from my last old-style can...
