Typhoon Jacket
The Typhoon Jacket is our new super-lightweight jacket made of a laminated microporous fabric, a breathable membrane laminated between two layers, for strength and durability. Breathable fabrics allow water vapor, but not liquid water to pass through them. When the heat and humidity are greater inside than outside your clothing, breathable fabrics act like a water pump that transfers moisture to the outside of the garment. This fabric is ideal when boating in warm climates, or when the boating activity requires exertion, and therefore results in perspiration.
The Typhoon Jacket’s outer shell is coated with a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coating, which prevents water from soaking in and provides total wind and water protection. The jacket is available in Unisex sizing with elasticized cuffs and shock cord hem that are adjustable for a tailored fit. With a Liquid Moisture Transfer Rate of 20,000gsm, the Typhoon Jacket offers double the breathability previously available.
New 6th Generation of Third Reef Foul Weather Gear
West Marine’s Third Reef Foul Weather Gear is the best selling, high quality foul weather gear in the world. The new 6th Generation of Third Reef Foul Weather Gear is 100% water and windproof to protect active boaters from rain, spray and solid water. It offers a full range of movement and ventilation options to accommodate varying exertion levels. It’s fully lined, breathable, articulated for ease of movement and contoured to reduce windage. Additional features include a high visibility foldaway hood, gusseted cargo pockets, zippered handwarmer pockets, internal zip pocket with headphone port and adjustable cuffs.

Tidal Pants
Changeable, like the weather, West Marine’s new Tidal Pants feature zip-off legs
so you can convert them to shorts. Details include mesh lined pockets, comfortable side elastic waist, quarter-top front pockets and right leg and back zip security pockets. It’s blood, oil and water-resistant with UPF-60 fabric that shields against the sun. These quick dry pants (or shorts!) also boast an antimicrobial treatment that keeps odors under control all day.
