TO BETTER SERVE JUPITER INLET BOATERS, WEST MARINE OPENS A NEW, BIGGER STORE IN TEQUESTA, FLORIDA

Watsonville, Calif. - (August 16th, 2010) –Responding to the needs of Jupiter Inlet boaters, West Marine today announced the grand opening of a new Tequesta, Florida store that more than doubles the size of its previous store in the area.  With 12,000 square feet, the store is stocked with an even larger selection specialty boating equipment, supplies and accessories specifically selected to meet the demands of area Customers.
"All of us at the new West Marine Tequesta are keenly focused on serving the needs of Jupiter Inlet boaters," says Store Manager Jack Wilson. "Customer service will be our top priority, as well as making sure we're stocked with products our customers need to have a great day out on the water."

As part of that expanded assortment, the new store will carry even more of the latest marine electronics and saltwater fishing gear.

Tequesta Store Associates have more than 200 years of combined boating and fishing experience. Wilson earned his Captain's license in his early 20s and has worked at several West Marine Stores throughout Florida. Other members of the team include Tommy Hoade, an active boater with more than 20 years experience, and Al Harrie, who has spent the last 25 years cruising from Maine to Florida to the Bahamas.

"We're all avid boaters, and serving our boating community hardly feels like work to us," Wilson notes.

The new Store is located on U.S. Highway 1 at Tequesta Drive, with a Grand Opening Weekend Celebration scheduled for Friday, September 10 through Sunday, September 12. Activities will include demonstrations of the latest, high-tech electronics, plus fishing seminars and exclusive, weekend-only discounts and more.
