Comments about Manual Oil Changer 6.9 Quart:
After looking for several alternative products this unit provided the ideal solution for my marine application. I have a twin engine Yahama jet boat and fellow owners appear to have trouble extracting enough oil during their annual oil chance. Coupled with the fact the hold is tight quarters and the only method to remove oil is using a unit like this. My observations are:a.) Extract twin engine oil in tight quarters, b.) contained extraction tubes that fits oil reservior access requiring different diameter openings, c.)simple instructions to operate, d.) capable to extract 6 quarts of oil without interuption in a short time, e.) secure knowing oil will not spill due to good construction preventing possible clean up or environmental concerns while in storage lot. At first I thought the price was high for an extractor as well as a little bulky to store afterwards but the job was so easy to complete that my concerns were not warranted.

Comments about Manual Oil Changer 6.9 Quart:
I have an inboard Volvo Penta V8 that has the threads on the end of the dipstick. I relied on the reviews here as well as other sites and was not disappointed. The suction is great and it does the job pretty quick with about 12 pumps in my case. It's a little messy draining the tubes afterwards, but if you jang them with a towel underneath they drain pretty well. This looks like the exact same pump manufacturered by Mollier but renamed for West Marine for less money which is why I bought it. It also came with the attachments I needed for my boat. Now that I have it, I plan on using it for oil changes on tractor to avoid the mess they create. I have also used it to remove water from the bilge that would not reach the drain hole so the area is bone dry.

Comments about Manual Oil Changer 6.9 Quart:
I first used this to change the oil on my Yamaha 250XCA offshore 4.2L engine, and it worked great. It works like a pump-up garden sprayer, only in reverse. You don't have to pump this up constantly while it's extracting. With my boat on a service rack at the marina the hoses were long enough to permit sitting the extractor on the ground and extracting through the dipstick tube. The Yamaha holds 6.5qts, so its best to empty this thing twice to avoid filling it all the way to the top because it's easier to empty if you don't do that. I wish it held 1-2 qts more than it does, even though it would be heavier to handle if it did. It's easy to pour out of this into a separate container to take for recycling since a spout is built into the unit. Very happy with the unit, it simply works. Others I tried did not.

Very easy to use, even to getting rid of the oil that gets pulled out of the engine. A little pricey, but worth it in my opinion. I used it for a mercruiser 170.
