Comments about Coastal Manual Inflatable Life Vest:
I was excited to have a compact life jacket for my "trip of a lifetime" to Alaska, but when it arrived (I bought it online), I couldn't find the CO2 cartridge in the package to arm it. I called the nearest store (Stockton), but the clerks there couldn't help me; however, they said that they had replacement cartridges at the store. So, I drove there the following weekend, 120 mile round-trip, but they didn't have the right size replacements! Why do they have different size cartridges?!? The clerks in the store also couldn't find the cartridges in the packages, either. I was so frustrated, I stopped at a [@] on my way home & bought another inflatable vest -- this one had the cartridge visibly in the package. Just before shipping this vest back to WestMarine, I was packing it for shipment and felt a lump in the opposite side of the vest -- guess what it was? The CO2 cartridge! What idiot decided to hide it in the wrong side of the vest and not tell anyone where it was?

Comments about Coastal Manual Inflatable Life Vest:
Its very comfortable and light weight, not restricting at all! I kayak on the bay a lot and I like that the vest has a D-ring on it that I can use to tether to my kayak so we don't drift apart if I fall out. I also like that inside the vest there's a whistle, and a pocket that can fit a small strobe beacon or flashligh. Its only con is that the reflective surfaces on the exterior wear off quickly.
I actually tested this vest on purpose a few days ago and it worked flawlessly! I am a 210 lb man and it kept me afloat.

Comments about Coastal Manual Inflatable Life Vest:
I bought one of these when I first got my kayak. Luckily I haven't been put in a position were I had to inflate the jacket but I can say that they are EXTREMELY comfortable and once I get to paddling I hardly notice that I'm wearing it. I fish from my kayak and I haven't once been frustrated with my life jacket getting in the way. Good product for the price. As a girl, this is probably the best PFD Iv'e ever used.

Comments about Coastal Manual Inflatable Life Vest:
I sail 3 or 4 times a week and in the summer it is perfect for the boat, light weight and much comfortable than my full size one that I use in early spring and fall.

Comments about Coastal Manual Inflatable Life Vest:
Since it does not self inflate, it's not for non swimmers or those who may be knocked overboard unconscious ie sailing alone. Also, for foredeck work where tether lines may be needed in adverse conditions, there are no loops to attach a safety line.
