Comments about Communications Caddy:

I bought this so I could conveniently place my handheld VHF radio near me on my sailboat. I'm tired of a blaring cockpit speaker. I wanted to be able to move the radio so this product seemed great. However, when using on the cockpit bulkhead on the first use, even cleaning the area prior to placing and allowing to completely dry, both my expensive ICOM VHF and the caddy fell and slid at a high rate of speed aft (we have an open transom) and almost overboard. Had my wife not been sitting in quarter seat it would have gone over. The radio floats but while still in the caddy who knows how the extra weight would affect it. I'm not testing it to find out.
