The Pedestal locks into the mounting base and the grill or table locks to the pedestal. The grill or table is instantly removable from the pedestal with a simple push-button release. The pedestal also is instantly removable from the mounting base with a push-bottom release that allows the pedestal to be unthreaded and removed for storage. The low-profile, threaded twist-lock surface mount base measure just 5/8" tall and 7" in diameter with a 5-3/4" bolt pattern. There is no need to cut a hole in your deck. Made of durable anodized Aluminum with a brushed Satin Finish, it is perfect for swim platforms, boat decks, pontoon boats, or at home on the patio, balcony or deck.

Mounting base is cast aluminum that was lightly machined. There are different generations of the T10-185 pedestal so check the bolt holes on the grill with the plastic block on the pedestal. Magma re-used the part number to confuse us all. Also, when mounting on a swim step there is some slope to the step so if you plan to postion the grill parallel to the centerline of the boat the side nearest the boat will be higher and the side away from the boat lower. That results in higher temps on the side nearest the bow. The other mounts look like they rotate and you can level them. This one you cannot.

We purchased our Searay used and it had a old chrome disk mounted on the swim step. We thought it might be for a barbeque but were not sure. We couldn't believe it when we were going through the new west marine catelog and there it was. All brand new and shiny!
