BlueChart® g2™ Marine Cartography plus XM Radio/Weather capability
The GPSMAP 441s compact chartplotter/sounder features an ultra-bright 4" QVGA color display along with an improved high-speed digital design for increased map drawing and panning speeds.
What You’ll Get
GPSMAP 441s is ready to go with an easy-to-use interface and a built-in, satellite-enhanced chart that includes all U.S. coastal areas, including Alaska and Hawaii, as well as detailed charts for the Bahamas. It also accepts BlueChart® g2 Vision cards for added premium features and functionality such as high-resolution satellite imagery, Mariner’s Eye 3D-mapping and Auto Guidance technology.
GPSMAP 441s is equipped with a high-sensitivity GPS receiver for superior satellite tracking and quicker acquisition time. Its built-in antenna works for most external mounting locations and even under hardtops and some pilothouses. For some below-decks installations, an external antenna may be needed. Order the GA 30 GPS Antenna (Model 11068681) if initial installation doesn’t provide optimal GPS signal reception.
What You’ll Need
GPSMAP 441s operates either dual-frequency 50/200kHz (500W) or 80/200kHz dual-beam (400W) transducers, sold separately. Depending on the style of the transducer, you’ll get depth, speed and/or temperature readings. To complete your installation, order one of the following transducers:

Comments about 4" GPSMAP 441s Chartplotter/Sounder with No Transducer:
I would, and have, recommended this unit to anyone wanting a chart plotter. I've had mine for 3 years now and I absolutely love it. I do a lot of (sail) boating in all kinds of weather. I have been in pouring rain, salt spray, etc. for days and the 441 has never faultered. Charts are very clear, screen navigation is pretty intuitive, data is pretty easy to transfer. I use it to get into very tight anchorages that I'd never go into with the NOAA charts or my Chartbook. I use it for many things - for example, it's nice to see your zoomed in track at 2am at anchor when the wind is going in circles (in addition to having the anchor alarm). I really just can't express how happy I've been with it. I purchased the Homeport software and I transfer waypoints to the 441 and tracks back to the pc. Homeport has it's issues but it also has some nice features and is being upgraded all the time. I have used several other PC software programs. Garmin Tech Support for the 441 and Homeport have been pretty good too. I almost never write reviews and I don't have stock in Garmin.

Comments about 4" GPSMAP 441s Chartplotter/Sounder with No Transducer:
This GPS is the bomb,...I just bought it 1 week ago and have used it twice. It is very simple to use and its point and shoot. I just cant describe how much easier this GPS has made my life out in the ocean. We printed out some web gps coordinates to a sunken ship, put them into the gps and wala,...it took us right to the wreck site. That same day we were low on fuel and searched for the nearest fuel marina and again,..wala,..we were on our way to get fuel. Just be carefull,.l.the GPS will give you a straight line shot to your destination and will go over shalow areas and even land, so you may have to go around that and then continue to follow the line laid out by the gps to the destination site. I have to read the instructions to see if there is a way it can tell you how to get there by avoinding those shallow areas. VERY SIMPLE ! ! My wife and I are very happy with it. The screen size is only 4" but you get what you pay for. We were on a budget and the 5" may have not fit on my tight space on my console anyways. And we got it on sale for just [$]. Truly truly a great buy ! ! !

Comments about 4" GPSMAP 441s Chartplotter/Sounder with No Transducer:
This a a fine product for someone with a small budget and a small boat. The screen is rather small but it's acceptable as long as you have paper charts along. The biggest drawbacks that I've encountered are the cable and the mounting system. The cable requires a very large hole to be drilled thru the cabin wall because of the large connectors. The mounting frame is so short and the connecting cable so huge it does not alow the gps to be mounted on a vertical or near vertical surface. It has to be mounted on a horizontal surface. This is pretty poor engineering that was alowed to go into production. I'll be very careful next time I consider a garmin product. Something like that gives insight to a companies regard to quality.
