jabsco toilets are the cheapest, but I have had no more problems or maintenance than my friends with the expensive brands. I had a LAVAC 30 years ago, worked no better than JABSCO but was a big hassle to source parts, plus expensive.
I had one joker valve fail after only a week and start with a small leak. I contacted JABSCO and they sent me another within a complete rebuild kit. A company with integrity.

The Jabsco toilet works great but when the inlet water valve breaks, and it will over time, this replacement part is easy to install and simple in design.

Ordered this kit to repair an older Jabsco toilet. The instructions were very poor, almost nonexistent. Took quite a while to figure out where some of the parts in the kit fit (and still ended up with an o-ring that I could not install).
The main pump gasket, with the valve "flaps" leaked after installation. No matter how much I adjusted it and tightened down the top of the valve. Just a pin-hole leak when pumping in the "wet bowl" mode.
Last time out with the boat however, when I used the head, it did not seem to be leaking....go figure.
Anyway, the parts fit, and the toilet is pumping correctly now. Just wish the instructions were specific instead of wasting hours in trial and error mode.

The use of this item is obvious, and the best recommendation is to install before it fails. When it gets noisy and "Head Lube" won't quiet it for long....replace it...and while you are in there install a full maintenance kit.
