Description

Forgiving tip action, Fuji reel seats, and Fuji Hardloy guides keep you in the game! Shimano Talus Kingfish rods are innovative in design and will exceed expectations of avid kingfish anglers. TLC-70MKA is the bread-and-butter East Coast kingfish rod with the perfect live bait action. It features an extra fast tip with medium power, perfect for smaller menhaden and pogies. TLC-70MHKA has the same extra fast action but with more power for bigger fish, or for areas where bigger baits, such as rainbow runners and big blue runners, are preferred. TLC-76MHKA is the number one requested custom rod for kingfish tournament anglers. The 7'6" length is deployed in a T-top rodholder and acts as an outrigger to spread live baits. This allows fish to pull line directly from the reel for smooth impact absorption and keeping small hooks in place. Eliminates the need for outrigger release clips, which fish can sometimes feel. TLC-70MLKA is the weapon of choice for Florida West Coast and commercial rod-and-reel kingfish anglers. Parabolic action helps when heaving big fish into the boat.
  • Rod Blank: TC4 Construction wraps a double inner horizontal layer of advanced, dynamic T-glass with an inner and outer spiral of high-modulus graphite, resluting in a durable, crisp yet lightweight rod.
  • Guides: Fuji Hardloy guide, produced from a special blend of high-grade aluminum oxide and diamond polished for reduced line wear (TLC-710MLKA uses wire snake guides).
  • Reel Seat: Fuji reel seats are built to last with graphite nylon bodies and lined cushioned inserts, for a lightweight reel seat with superior strength.
  • Warranty: Limited lifetime
