The Bait Sentry's magnetically driven impeller moves large quantities of water and handles solid debris without motor damage. If the impeller locks up, magnets break free, saving the motor from burnout. This pump design also features an automatic purge which protects against airlock. A second 1/2" inlet port provides a raw water connection to a wash-down pump. 24-hour dry run time.

Comments about Bait Sentry Pumps:
Ok, These pumps are junk. I took a couple pumps apart and they both had the same problem. The shaft bearing wears out due to the heavy magnet that spins at the end of the shaft. The good part is you always get a warning as the plastic covered magnet hits the sidewall due to the worn out bearing you get a loud sound so you know its time to install another pump. In my opinion its a design flaw. The extra cost of a good pump is nothing compared to the cost of ruining your fishing trip. This review is on the 1100 gph and is not for the 800 gph as I don't use that model.

Comments about Bait Sentry Pumps:
The mag impeller wears out within a season. I thought that maybe my suplier got a bad run of them, but I've now ordered from 3 separate suppliers, so they know this pump is garbage and yet refuse to improve the design. Will swap the complete unit out with another brand in the spring (when this latest one quits - and it will.)

Comments about Bait Sentry Pumps:
Don't waist your money. This is my third one and every one just outside of one year it breaks. My third one is just outside of one year and it sounds like its about to explode. Will change (with another brand) bait too expensive to take a chance.

Comments about Bait Sentry Pumps:
When new the pumps are quite and produce good flow. The magnet impeller breaks at one year and one day... just out of warranty. Because I run dual pumps, I have resisted in changing them out to a differnt brand and replacing a working pump but that is just what I am doing this go around. I have had three fail now just outside of the warranty.

Comments about Bait Sentry Pumps:
I have had two of these fail on me. There is a small magnet inside that shatters after a couple of years. The manufacturer won't sell parts for these so instead of a 5 dollar repair, you have to buy a whole new pump.
