As a bluefin charter capt., I depend on my livewell pumps. When my Piranha 800 started chirping at me last week, I bought a replacement cartridge. The old I've had since 2004. It has well over 1,000 hours on it and it was still working fine, just making a little noise. I'd say that's as good as it gets for a small, electric pump.

I purchased two of these pumps from West Marine. They worked intermittently at best. They were broken most of the time. I definitely wouldn't recommend as these are garbage. I have the Piranha Straight Port Aerator 800.
