Now with a Twist ’n’ Lock safety pump handle that guards against flooding and waste backflow by locking the redesigned piston assembly in place. This reliable design offers the same ease of use and maintenance as the original Manual Head. Crevice-free external surfaces make cleaning easy. The angled pump provides a smooth, natural stroke and the dry bowl selector is top-mounted for easy access. External seal and rod guide assembly can be removed without pump disassembly. Comments about Twist'n'Lock Compact Manual Head:
Left or Right side pump description is confusing. I ended up ordering the wrong side. Is it Left Side as you sit on it, or left side as you stand in front of it? Not a complete crisis as you can dismantle it to flip the pump side. FYI, It is left or right side as you stand in front of it.
Its a great replacement for my original Jabsco.

Comments about Twist'n'Lock Compact Manual Head:
I replaced the original Jabsco head with a newer model when it started to leak tons of water backwards and through the pump handle gaskets due to the cost for the parts were almost as expensive as the new unit. After more than six months, the situation repeated... I verified the head internals and the main sealing mechanism are composed of a rubber sheet (i.e. valve) and two iron or high carbon steel "weights" for closing the valves... I do not know why they rate this equipment "marine" with such low quality materials. I do not recommend this equipment at all. It is a waste of money. Do not try to fix it. It's a waste of time.

Comments about Twist'n'Lock Compact Manual Head:
I replaced a 20 year old Groco HF with this Jabsco in about 2 hours. Was able to use the existing 1 1/2" waste line but had to run a new 3/4" water supply line as the connection on the new Jabsco was about 6" higher than the Groco. Great direct replacement. Great price at West Marine.
