Fixed-Length & Telescoping Handles
All handles are hand-made of triple-anodized, heat-treated aluminum and quickly lock with all SHURHOLD items. Fixed-length style handles have standard grip. Two-piece, telescoping handle assemblies offer excellent versatility and feature the Shur-Lok system, which locks the handle at the desired length. The 6' handle locks at four different lengths from 43"-72", the 9' handle locks at five different lengths, from 63"-108".

The Shurhold is the best quality telescoping pole that I have ever seen - far better than the usual. The pole is brightly polished aluminum and quite a bit thicker than anything else that I have owned or seen for sale. I use the nine foot long version plus two "curved" adapters and a swivel pad to make a bottom cleaning brush that can reach almost everywhere on my 40' sailboat. I use a 10" medium stiffness brush to wash the boat and a 10" soft brush to spead WoodyWax deck wax.

If you need a extra long boat hook which is what I bought mine for this will work fine until you extend it to full length. At full lenght it is difficult to hold and if you are not very carefull it is going in the lake. I got to use mine one time and I dropped it in the lake and it sank like a rock in 40' of water. Did not know when I purchased that it woud not float - they fail to mention that !!! Lost the pole and boat hook. Also now I have no ploe to use the cleaning pad with - lost about $80 because I made a mistake and bought a non floating pole !!! Don't buy this pole or and other cleaning tools that require the pole. You WILL drop it in the water and be left with nothing - what a waste of money !!
