This turnbuckle never worked well and I was never comfortable with it. Bent easily. Pin always tried to work it's way out. Due to changing shrouds I did not wrap the turnbuckle for a sail, the pin popped out and the mast came down. I understand this failure is partly my fault, but the turnbuckle does not give any room for error. Also, extremely difficult to change under sail without losing vital pieces.

These shroud adjusters were bought to replace the originals that became bent with use. The stamped steel is so flimsy that it easily warps and is eventually unusable. Even after reshaping by hand, the clevis pins were never easy to install -- which must be done with every use of the boat. I could find no other manufacturer, so had to buy Ronstan. Incidentally, the boat, the wonderful Bauer 10, is practically new.
