Have been sailing for over 40 years and these are my favorite gloves. Have tried all others and these are the top.

I teach sailing and am hard on gloves. I usually wear out the glove over the pad of the middle finger which I use for friction when easing sheets.
The proton-ultra material in these gloves has held up very well under much use. All over the glove there's very little sign of wear in the ultra material. Unfortunately, the nylon lining around the ultra material on the palm and back is just shredding. I'm not sure if I'll spend the extra money for these again or not. I know I won't go back to plain leather gloves.

Do not hold up to Racing. Leather is good but the fabric wore out in less than one season. Not worth the price. Back to Ronstan.

Materials seemed to hold up to wear, but the construction is lacking. Although the fit was good, the gloves came apart at the seams after a few races. I guess I'll go back to the cheaper gloves.
