Very good fishing gear for the novice and recreational fisherman. Stick with a 6' rod on a boat or you will be banging the rod on everything. Make sure the reel is wound correctly and the fishing line is installed through the level wind eyelet with the tension adjusted or it will definitely "bird nest" on you!
Remember to take a kid fishing with you. It will be the time of their life!
