XLS Extra-T Double Braid
Created for performance-oriented cruisers and for casual racers wanting higher strength and lighter weight than found in polyester double braid. Offers the smooth flexibility of a 24-strand braided polyester cover with a braided core made from a blend of multi-filament polypropylene and SK-60 Dyneema. The blended core offers the strength and light weight of Dyneema fiber for performance without the high price of a 100% Dyneema core.
- Stretch: 1.0% at 20% of breaking strength
- Best Use: Performance cruiser/club racer
- Construction: Double-braid
- Cover Fiber/Construction: 24-strand polyester
- Core Fiber/Construction: MFP/Dyneema/Olefin braid
- Not Recommended: High-load high tech racers

I have been using Samson lines for over 40 years on the three different sailboats I have owned. I like to race and their line in terms of performance, cost, and longevity is second to none. They offer a wide range of products for cruisers and racers. The XLS line is one of their most popular lines.
