Control your rig and sail plan more accurately with a low-stretch, high-performance wire strand. Dyform is an essential performance requirement on many racing sailboats and on cruising yachts seeking higher performance and greater margins of safety. It has 30% greater breaking strength and 25% less stretch than conventional wire strand. This means you can use a smaller diameter wire and achieve the same strength, saving weight and reducing windage. Priced per foot.
- Construction: Stainless steel
- Wire strands are specially shaped to fill more cross-sectional area for greater resistance to elastic stretch
- Same corrosion resistance of 316S31 stainless
- Approved for use with conventional swage and swageless fittings
- Priced per foot

- Replacement of exisiting
It would be nice to see some prices of this material. I need to order some and no specs or prices is provided. Dyform is great wire, formed to fill in voids in the wire, so there is more metal and hence it is stronger for the same diameter. Works great with NavTec terminals, and best, it is easy to do yourself. I prefer these to swaged fittings. Be sure to have a couple of toggles for spares, If you have to cut the wire, the only way to remove the terminals, you can reuse most of the parts except the cone, and reattach it--but it will be shorter--hence the need for a toggle to lengthen it to make up for the shortened wire. Trust me, you will run into a situation where you might have to do this.
