Chill out on hot summer days with one of these cool-only air conditioners offered in 5,000-15,000 BTU/hr. capacities to accomodate boats in the 25-40 foot range. These systems use R-417A refrigerant, an environmentally safe, green gas. Outstanding features include high-velocity motors with no overhang for a compact footprint plus a stainless-steel drain pan and pre-installed return air filter that can be easily removed and cleaned.
Systems come complete with a seawater pump plus all the pieces and parts you need (from seawater intake to supply air grille) for a professional installation. Duct routing is made easy by blowers that rotate to horizontal or vertical positions. Operation is simple, with a two-knob mechanical switch for reliable control over air conditioner functions. Optional Dual Duct Kit can be used to create an additional air outlet for 6,500-15,000 BTU/hr. models.

Comments about EnviroCool Self Contained Air Conditioners:
Installed A/C in a 1994 Catalina 320 in the starboard lazarette. Don't like fork tongue electrical connectors, but they would make life MUCH easier unless the A/C is in a very easy to get at location. There are a couple of screws in the drip pan. The only place I could find for the supply duct was in the galley - use a sabre saw - barely enough room. Ducting was too short. A home supply store has it in 25' lengths with more insulation - around $30.00. Thermostat/controls were too short for any place near the salon - I put it in the rear of the aft cabin. The air return is through the port lazerette access door in the aft cabin. I modified a water bed drain pump for the condensation - works great - about $15.00 total for the parts - I tested it at home first. So far, I'm very satisfied. Remember, these comments relate to a 1994 Catalina 320 installation.
