The first one I bought snapped, still don't know how. The replacement i got was the same identical rod worked perfectly ever since. I've caught chum salmon, lingcod, rockfish, and in freshwater one time was able to catch a good size cutthroat trout. I'd say this is a very great rod & reel combo.

This is an economical and versatile rod that is ideally suited for inshore boat fishing. I use it primarily for striped bass and bluefish. The rod itself is light weight and offers a good feel for the fish.
Service and delivery comments:
1. I used ship to store and no one called from the store to tell me this arrived. It would still be in the store if I hadn't called them and asked if it had arrived.
2. Not sure if my Boat U.S. points were credited to this order. There is no place on the order form to put my membership number.
