Works great as a hull stripe. I replaced a stripe that runs down the middle of the hull side using both a 2" tape and an accent 1/4" tape. Looks great and is durable. The smaller tape stretched and rubbed loose where a bumper rubbed against it but I just replaced that section with new tape.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I have used this product on two boats. One was for a boot top near the waterline and the other for a beauty stripe just below the deck line. I found it easy to apply and durable. The red is quite brilliant.
