I wear these shoes only for sailing, but they are painful to walk in: even the short distance on the dock to the boat.
After one time's use, the back of the shoe, at the achilles heel showed wear as did the skin on my feet. The only way I could use them is by using protective adhesive tape on my feet. They are perhaps the most uncomfortable shoes I have owned in years.

Even though I was extremely careful with these shoes, knowing they were suede, I ultimately dripped some oil on them while BBQ ing. IMPOSSIBLE to clean the suede and the shoe naver looked the same thereafter. So............buy suede at your own risk. Remember though, no matter how careful you are, you too will probably stain these suede shoes, and regarding spot removal....fahgeddaboudit!

Great shoes for all my needs. I wear them almost daily except outside in Maine's winter weather. Excellent non-slip characteristics on the boat. I find they dry quickly if wet. My hope is that Sperry doesn't drop them for something more "stylish".
