      after having my second one fail with only a few cycles each I have to find a different solution.

      Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

        • Beats 60 amp switch

        Comments about Windlass Control Solenoids:

        I went thru two hi amp switches like the ones included with the windlass.
        Nothing worse than having to pull 200 feet of chain
        By hand after the switch fails twice with no more than 20 cycles thru it.
        Solenoid and low amp switch is the way to go!!!

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
