Comments about Bora Three Speed Fans:
I have bought about 15 of these over the years the switch can break as we use for guest bedrooms in an off the grid B & B in Costa Rica, guests probably abuse more than you might. I wish they would improve quality on this portion price has gone up, fan same.

Comments about Bora Three Speed Fans:
Bought three at the same time.
Two years later, lightning struck nearby.
Fried the internal board. Fans stay on, will not turn off. All other electronics were OK.
Call to Caframo wasn't any help, but they replaced the fragile circuitry with a mechanical switch.
I might buy the new model to replace my blown fans.

Comments about Bora Three Speed Fans:
We have two in our master cabin and sleep throught the night with no noise and a cool breeze in these hot Caribbean nights.
I am replacing the fans in all cabins and the main salon

Comments about Bora Three Speed Fans:
Intalled 4 Bora fans about 1 year ago. Used in a 40' sailboat cruising the Sea of Cortez. Overall impression... Avesome!
These are REALLY quiet fans. I have one in my berth about 2 feet from my head. Even on the mid setting the sound is less than the Caframo Scirocc mounted 10 feet away. They also move a LOT of air. We've rarely used them on the high setting, even in the middle of summer.
Slight downsides are the awkward adjustment and a tendency for the fan blade to move on the motor shaft and ratttle against the housing. Fortunately, the blade is mounted with an easily adjustable brass collet so you can move the blade. It might be an idea to check that the nut on the blade hub is tight when you install the fan.
The adjustment issue isn't a big deal. You just have to unscew a large plastic nut to rotate the fan. Unless you hold the nut, it tends to move with the fan and unscew completely or tighten up prematurely. No big deal and this fan would be my choice if I ever need more.

Great fan. Works well. I ordered two for my main cabin of sailboat. Wish it would oscillate.

I put 2 of these fans in the main cabin. These fans are of good quality and work well. Would be perfect if they would oscillate.

Better than a Hella, more air, yet quiet and still low amp draw.

Comments about Bora Three Speed Fans:
This fan is very quiet, especially on the low setting, and has very low current draw. I installed two of them (very easy installation) and they will be best used when at anchor and on battery power.
