Description

A West Marine Innovative Product for 2011!

Harken’s lightest block ever!

Harken’s Carbo T2™ is the first block with no fasteners, rivets, or other metal parts to add weight. Its composite structure makes T2 the lightest soft-attach block Harken has ever designed. Applied industrial design and new branding gives this patent-pending block a hot new look that appeals to racing sailors both young, and young at heart.

T2 blocks have been tested by Harken-sponsored Olympic and world class sailors and received rave reviews for their flexibility, strength, and smooth operation, “Harken’s new soft-attach blocks are so light, smooth rolling, and dependable, I don’t even know they’re there,” said Harken Speed Team sailor Andrew Campbell, a Star and Laser champion.

“Every sailor rigs their boat differently, so in addition to lightening the block, the soft-attach method was an important factor in the T2 design concept,” said Evan Thompson, product line manager. “One style T2 uses a loop, the other a length of line. Both tying methods route attachment line through the block head and sheave, reducing load on the sideplates and acting as a safety backup for your system.”

T2 LOOP
The loop slides through the block head and over the anchor post for a secure connection. No knots, splices, or tools required! The T2 Loop is available in 40 mm and 57 mm single sizes. A SK75 Dyneema® loop is included.

T2
The T2 can tie, splice, or lash to almost anything and comes in 29 mm, 40 mm, and 57 mm sizes. A length of covered Spectra® line is included.
