Wanted to use this for two Penn electric downriggers. The plate supplied, but not pictured on West Marine site, is not keyed to the receptacle barrel. Thus, when you tighten the flimsy retaining screw, the barrel still will rotate when you insert and twist the plug as you should. Then, when you tighten the flimsy, thin, plastic retaining collar, it skips threads or breaks. An awful design with no place on a boat.

Have been using a pair of these for the last 10 years with not one issue for my downriggers! I like the 3rd pin for running my black box through! Stainless constuction has given zero corrosion issues!
