Comments about Floating & Telescoping Boat Hooks:
Great reasonably priced boat hook. Used it on a 800 mile ICW cruise. Needed another hook for navigating locks, so I did research on other models but bought a second west marine boat hook. Well worth the money, easy to handle, good end hook design makes catching and securing lines easier.

Comments about Floating & Telescoping Boat Hooks:
Used for docking mostly, hooking lines and pushing off. Has great feel, does not mark boat finish.
My issues are that tips fall off easily as well as rubber handle grips. Not sure why west marine does not sell replacements for both .
The main issue are that the twist and lock doesn't work or unreliable after short Time: year or so. Cleaning or flushing does not seem to help.
