It was easy to install, because I all ready had an HDS-7 where I put the HDS-10. The large screen makes things much easier to see especially at high speeds. I wanted to get this unit before they phased it out completely for the higher priced touch screens. I've had the HDS system with structure scan for a while now and really enjoy using it. I moved my HDS-7 to the bow when I installed the 10.
