My wife and I love this little boat. I own 5 other kayaks. They range from a 9ft wave rider to a 19ft surfski. I have rented and paddled many others including tandems. My wife has been paddling a 15ft RTM Tempo. We paddle a lot. I am into racing and she is a casual site seer. Our different paddling interest is what had me looking for a tandem, I'm always wanting to go faster and farther than she is capable of or desires. But we love doing this together. Dilemma! With this boat no matter how far or fast I want to paddle she gets there first. With alot of tandems, couples have a hard time going in the direction they want to go. Not with this little boat, we had no problems maintaining whatever course we wanted to take, and you can do a complete 180 turn in 3 paddle strokes! Amazing. No its not fast, but for a boat this short and wide its no slug either, it will move at a respectable clip. All that and the added bonus that we can talk to each other in a normal manner. Priceless! This boat cost half as much as any of my other boats but is twice as much fun because its such a great handling little boat and I get to share it with my wife. We have a blast in it.
