Comments about Engine Winterizing Kit:
outboards don't need flushing, they simply self drain. Using the lower unit adapter on I/O spills most of the anti freeze on the ground. This contraption does not allow enough flow for a running inboard engine. I made my own for about $15 using 5 gal plastic bucket, and screwing a larger diameter (1") gate valve into the side, at the bottom, and used a 1" non-kinkable hose that gets sucked directly from my water pump inlets.

Comments about Engine Winterizing Kit:
I've used this very same kit for YEARS. The old method of releasing the drain plugs and draining the manifolds / risers as well as water pickup pump etc, is all nicely flushed with clean biodegradable antifreeze. Once you use this kit (and know how to use it correctly) - it makes winterizing a breeze in a fraction of the time. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone wanting to save time / money.

Comments about Engine Winterizing Kit:
Drained the risers..didn't need to drain the block (or the risers)..all water is replaced with antifreeze.

Cons
- Ineffective

Comments about Engine Winterizing Kit:
Fluid outlets are too small and the gravity does not flow fast enough. While winterizing, the hose only gets half full. I would rather have more pressure to not detroy a starving water pump or over heat the engine.

Cons
- Difficult to Use

Comments about Engine Winterizing Kit:
wish I could return it. Hose came pre kinked so flow was restricted, more anti freeze ran on the ground than into the motor. roughly 5 gals of anti freeze wasted because impossible to tell for sure if any was going thru motor or all just running out. Ended up pulling all drain plugs anyway and no sign of antifreeze in the block.

Comments about Engine Winterizing Kit:
This more simple version is better than the other one i saw with a dual gate valve. You should drain the block of water after flushing so the ability to switch from water flush to anti freeze right away does not apply. This one works well.
