1st thing to do is use Outdoor Waterproofing Spray - both sides - before using. Should do the trick! Most Nylon items are NOT waterproof, so this should give longer life and color. Boys just don't know what Girls do!!

Nice flags. Code flag B faded in a week or two when left out on the backstay. Great for dressing up the boat. Remember to fly them in sequence.

Cons
- Not color fast
Best Uses
- Inside use only
Comments about Code Flag Sets:
These flags are NOT color fast. I took them down wet, yes it does rain the the Northwest, and stuffed them in a plastic bag, what else. Three days later I get them out to dry them off and lo the red color is all over the place, and the pinch clips are already starting to rust.
Taylor and West should be ashamed at the LOW quality of this product.

Merchant response: Thanks, Port Tack. You’re correct that this is the traditional way to “dress ship”. For those of you who are not familiar with this term, you can find out more information in the Annapolis Book of Seamanship, page 372.
