Comments about Self Coiling Washdown Hose Kits:
This product was great - until this year. I purchased about 4 years ago, and store in a cockpit locker away from any u/v exposure. This spring when I tried to use it for a topside washdown it came apart like soft candy licorice sticks. I attempted to patch with brass hose splices and the breaks kept occurring. The plastic material deteriorated much faster than I would have imagined. Still looks great, just not durable hose material.

use it for the garden-very lightweight, easy to move--most coiled garden hoses get tangled up into themselves--this one does not!--stores compactly.
haven't used it long enough to know if it will spring a leak-many that I've had do.
