Comments about Bow Eye:
In order to distribute the force over a larger area I added a 4" long piece of 2X2 that I shaped to fit the interior of the bow. This should greatly improve performance.
It looks fine on the boat. I had to file down the 2 nubs a little to get a snug fit on the exterior of the bow.
