Stop using varnish on teak.
After the first teatment maitenance is easy.
Let the deck dry after the Brightener the apply two coats of oil.
Leave for 3-5 days and apply a third coat then wait and watch the color develop.
Wipe the oil off your gel coat as you go or it will stain the gel coat.

Wet the teak and scrub lightly with the grain.
Leave 5 minutes the wash off.
My teak deck had not been cleaned for 6 years so I did this step twice.
