The card stays horizontal regardless of the vessel’s heel angle. Features six lubberlines and a 45°-0°-45° clinometer. Mounts on bulkheads from vertical to inclined 5°. Includes cover and 12V night light. Requires 3.1" dia. cutout. Black bezel.

This compass looks great, is easy to read and very durable. The older larger version allowed you to read the compass from the backside inside the cabin. I've owned other compasses, but this is the one I like the best and will buy when I need a bulkhead compass.

Installation was easy, but I am skilled with construction. Instructions could have been more explicit for someone who is not familiar with such installation. For example, the nylon bolts provided are much longer than I needed, but the instructions do not tell you to cut the bolts to fit. Instructions also do not tell you HOW to level the template to the boat (measuring from a common level surface (such as the gunwale), only that it needs to be level.

I have this installed on my Catalina 25.
Mine is the white compass, so it blends really well in my bulkhead.
