Use inReach by itself The highly versatile inReach does not require any companion hardware. By itself, it can send pre-loaded text messages and SOS alerts (with delivery confirmation) and enable remote tracking, all via pushbutton.
Pair inReach with a PN-60w GPS Easy wireless connection enables two-way satellite messaging and interactive SOS.
Two-way messaging Send and receive messages up to 160 characters to and from email contacts, cell phones, and the emergency response center.
Interactive SOS When paired with a PN-60w, inReach lets you send descriptive text messages so responders come properly prepared. You can also maintain a dialog with the response center, exchanging updates as the situation dictates.
Message delivery confirmation You'll never have to wonder if your message was received. The inReach will confirm delivery of any text or SOS message, whether it's in standalone or paired mode.
Remote tracking Designate anyone you choose to follow your travels online. Your latest position and "breadcrumb" trail are displayed.
Topo maps and aerial imagery included with PN-60w GPS Every new Earthmate PN-60w comes with DeLorme Topo North America GPS maps and PC software. Detail includes terrain, streets, roads, and places of interest for the U.S. and Canada, plus U.S. trails and public lands. A free DeLorme MapPack subscription is also included for U.S. aerial imagery, USGS and Canada government topographic detail, .

Limited Warranty
INREACH warrants that your INREACH Product will be free from defects in
materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. If your
INREACH Product fails in normal use, INREACH will, during the first (90)
ninety-days after purchase, at its sole option, either repair or replace the
unit. INREACH reserves the right to either repair or replace the unit with a new
or refurbished unit at its sole discretion. Such repairs or replacements will be
made at no charge for labor or materials; however, the customer will be
responsible for any shipping charges incurred to send the device to INREACH.
After the first ninety (90) days, INREACH will repair your unit, but will not
replace it. The repaired or replaced product will be warranted for ninety (90)
days from the date of return shipment, or for the balance of the original
warranty, whichever is longer. This warranty does not cover failures due to
abuse, misuse, accidents, or unauthorized disassembly or modification. Any
repairs not performed by INREACH will void this warranty.

Comments about inReach 2 way Satellite Communication for Earthmate PN 60w GPS:
I decided on the InReach as an alternative to my 9505 satellite phone. I traded in my satphone [paid $1,200] for InReach, and get even more services than what I had in the past. Service plans are really a good value, considering I get NOAA nautical charts, 1:24k topo maps, simple texting etc. Coverage from Seattle to the Far East Asia was there, every time I used it. Rained on it, worked just fine. I hope they made a 12 volt power charger for it.
This device has made my life [and business] easier. Really nice to do 2-way texting, regardless of where I am.
