This spring I purchased a 350 Titan Dingy. Very nice boat but I found when combined with my 18HP Tahatsu motor there was a real cavatation problem when I made any significant turns.
After installing the Hydrofoil it almost elimanted cavatation unless I do extreme turns, but even then it is not really a problem. The boat is also more stable and it plains much more easily. I can't say the boat goes any faster but the addition of this equipment definately made the boat much more enjoyable to operate.

I installed the SE Sport 200 on my Mercury 9.9 2 stroke. My motor pushed my Zodiac Cadet 310 pretty well, but I wanted to see if this foil would improve planing time & decrease bow rise.
Install is very straight forward. I opted for the drill mount. They give you a cardboard template that I taped to the drive to line up & mark the spots for drilling. Install time took me around 45 minutes.
After installing I noticed that the boat planed much quicker and at lower speeds. I could hold plane with less throttle at lower speeds. It significantly reduced bow rise, eliminated cavitation & the boat seems to handle better, with less dancing around at high speeds.
I didn't notice any increase or decrease in top speed. The boat definitely handles better at speed though.
All in all I consider this a very worth while investment.
