Packing exceptional amperage output and unsurpassed cooling capacity, the new Advanced Technology Series of alternators by Balmar delivers incredible charging power in a compact, space-saving design. A unique hairpin stator design using densely wound square copper wire allows for an unprecedented 99 winding slots, as compared to 36 as in traditional stator designs, to more efficiently develop superior, cleaner electromagnetic energy in the smallest area possible. A dozen, externally mounted, avalanche diodes effectively suppress maximum voltage and provide superior surge protection for sensitive onboard electronics. A custom-designed, powdercoated aluminum frame with massive heat sinking and cool-running dual internal fans ensures optimal airflow to provide cool running at any speed or under the highest load demands. Available as standalone units or as complete systems including Max Charge digital regulator and temperature sensors, for both the alternator and battery, to monitor and react to dangerous over-temperature conditions and to adjust alternator output voltage based upon ambient battery temperature. AT-Series alternators are designed to be used with Max Charge voltage regulators, and should only be used in multi-groove serpentine, or dual V-belt applications.
