Ideal for tight spaces where larger tanks won't fit, this tank is designed to maintain waterline pressure and reduce unwanted pump cycling-which helps to keep the pump cool and extend its life. Incorporates a butyl rubber diaphragm in a nylon housing to maintain pressure for years.

Comments about Aqua King Automatic Pressure Water Pumps:
This is definitely a small boat/low flow specific use.
I have an occasional use single fixture transom shower so I was not looking for high pressure, but due to the fact the water tank is approx 30 inches below the pump I am getting next to no flow. It literally trickles out of the handheld showerhead. For a small installation where the water supply is at the same level it may be sufficient for a sink but I would not recommend this for a shower.

Comments about Aqua King Automatic Pressure Water Pumps:
This pump runs our entire on-board fresh water system. It is quiet and efficient. We use an accumulator tank to reduce the number of times the pump cycles on/off. From the factory the pressure switch is set too high for use with an accumulator. It does not shut off some times. I see other reviewers complaining about this problem. The simple fix is to use a cross-head screw driver to turn the pressure adjust screw counter clockwise until the pump shuts off reliably.
For those complaining about the pump noise it will help to not tighten the mounting screws too tight. Leave them about 1-turn above the base mounting flange. Then the pump vibration mounts can absorb the noise. If you tighten the mounting screws too tight it defeats the purpose of the vibration mounts and makes the pump noisy. If using a bolt instead of a screw then use double nuts to lock it. If done right the pump makes very little noise.

Comments about Aqua King Automatic Pressure Water Pumps:
Installed in a Carver Mariner 35.
The pump provides good water pressure, but the pressure switch don't shut it off when you close the faucet. Looks like I'll have to pull it out and send it back.

Comments about Aqua King Automatic Pressure Water Pumps:
The OEM pumps are no longer available for the water system on my Sea Ray 420. This is the replacement. It is used in tandem with a 1990 vintage pump the runs just fine. This pump is the second one that failed in a one year period. This is a Great Lakes boat, so we are not talking about very much usage and we are in a freshwater environment. The pressure switch failed in both cases and the pump does not shut off. Then it overheats and fails. The redesigned pump is not as robust as the former models and I am not very happy with the new design.

Comments about Aqua King Automatic Pressure Water Pumps:
These pumps work great, for a few months, then the diaphragm starts leaking water into the motor, and from there your days are numbered.
BUY THE INSURANCE IF YOU BUY ONE OF THESE PUMPS!!!!

Comments about Aqua King Automatic Pressure Water Pumps:
Replaced pump in our overnight cruiser that was starting to loose prime and making a lot of noice. Easy to install but not as quite as I hoped it would be.
