Comments about Yellowtail Marine Blowers:
This is powerful blower that works very well with plenty of air flow for my Cobalt 350 Chevy engine compartment. Plus, it has a 3 year warranty, unlike all the other similar products I studied. To me, this says something about the confidence its manufacturer has in the product. Now that it's installed we'll see about longevity. I will say, however, that I was very impressed with the motor design and the manner in which it is sealed. Looks to be hermetically sealed, or close to it. So, there appears no way for the environment to affect the motor's operation. So, when it fails, as all mechanical and electrical pieces will eventually, it should not be due to environmental impact. I fully expect it to last a long time. As far as the quietness of the blower's operation, unlike one of the comments I read, this product is no louder than the original. It is not "loud," a relative term I suppose, although I can see how someone could say that in a cabin type boat and using the blower inside living quarters say for ventilation for one's head or galley. There probably are quieter blowers for those applications. It was slightly shorter than the blower replaced but there was enough hose on each end to make up the difference. Since the mounting holes on the blower are slotted the previous mounting screw holes in the boat were easy to reuse, so no new holes required. Yes, I would recommend the blower to others.

Comments about Yellowtail Marine Blowers:
upgraded from 2 1/2" to 3". Not as noisey as expected.
Pros
- Energy efficient
- Reliable
- Weather Resistant
Cons
- Very noisy
Best Uses
- Engine room
Comments about Yellowtail Marine Blowers:
High pitch noise, much louder than the more economical alternative. We had both versions installed in the generator's sound enclosure within the insulated engine room but had to replace the Shurflow as it disturbed throughout the boat. Airflow and power efficiency is good. Blower feels rugged.
