Comments about Jabsco PAR Max Freshwater Pumps:
just had my 3rd jabsco fresh water pump installed in 4 years . the last one I replaced started blowing circuit breaker not even a year old. even under warranty , i had to pay labor to have it done. I should have switched to shurflo and got away from jabsco.

Cons
Best Uses

Comments about Jabsco PAR Max Freshwater Pumps:
I recently installed the Jabsco Par Max 4 water pump to replace an existing pump that was gradually losing pressure and flow rate. The Par Max 4 has a higher flow rating that my previous pump, and I tested it by turning on both showers and the Galley sink at the same time. I got good flow and pressure at all of these outlets simultaneously.
I have read the other reviews stating that their are problems with this pump blowing fuses after one or two years of service, so will watch for that problem and note it if it occurs.
Pros
- Quick disconnect fittings
Cons
- Short wiring leads
Best Uses
- High Usage
- Large Boat
Comments about PAR Max Freshwater Pumps:
I fashioned a vertical mounting post so that the pump motor is above the pump housing. This should keep the motor high and dry when the pump fails; which eventually they all do.
Comments about Jabsco PAR Max Freshwater Pumps:
Should the pump begin chattering, it has a message for you...
Comments about Jabsco PAR Max Freshwater Pumps:
I just bought a Morgan OI 41 and this pump came on board. Looks in god shape. Now start to drain a lot of voltage when starts. The stereo on board stops to sound every time the pump runs.I goin to buy another pump because I dont have the purchase tiket to claim guarantee.
Comments about Jabsco PAR Max Freshwater Pumps:
This pump has been working flawlessly for 3 years now, providing water at 45 PSI for 3 fixtures, at my cottage. We bought it here, and I am back for a second one. We run the Par-MAX 4 Water Pump from a bank of 6 deep-discharge 12V marine batteries, which are recharged by solar panels. Highly recommended!
