Comments about Freeport Helm Seat (Without Cushion):
I used the Todd Enterprises Freeport Helm Seat as part of make-over on an older 14 foot inshore fishing boat. The seat has four mounting nut locations that are molded into the base. Unfortunately, they did not match the swivel base that I installed. A little reengineering of a plate drilled to match the holes in both the swivel base and the seat and it was a done deal. The seat is solid and not at all flimsy. While under way, I can throttle up and the seat stays firm and does not waver as some thinner shell type seats might. I believe I got good value for the money spent.
