Comments about Mariner 4400 3' VHF Stainless Center Console Antenna:
I've had 2 on a t-top and never got very good range out of either, I believe around 3 miles max. There okay if that is all the range you need. We go too far offshore to rely on this one so i went to a 8' fiberglass. Be careful if you use a ratcheting mount, bending the coax will eventually break it and range will be about 10 feet max.

Comments about Mariner 4400 3' VHF Stainless Center Console Antenna:
This antenna has exceeded my expectations greatly. I have it paired up with my Uniden Solara VHF and the range is amazing. I have it rail mounted on my small powerboat and it is perfect because the low clearance of three feet allows me to travel under low clearance bridges without having to tilt it down. I have contacted other vessels as far as 15 miles away in clear conditions and have received from stations even further away. I am confident that the high quality design will last a long time. The most important thing is to remember a mount that allows the antenna cable to pass through the bottom of the mount. Overall I am extremely satisfied with this product.
Easy to install. Works perfectly. Compact, requires less clearance. Have been thru 3 of the long fiberglass antennas, forgot to put them down and broke them. If you forget to put this one down it still has plenty of clearance.
FANTASTIC LITTLE PACKAGE WITH GREAT OUTPUT CHARACTERISTICS...3DB'S WILL GET YOU THERE...IF NOT ..HOLD IT IN YOUR RIGHT HAND AND GRAB YOUR MAST WITH YOU LEFT...OR JUST BUY A BIG YACHT" AND ENJOY....THANKS DARRYL JOHNSON...BREMERTON WASH"
What they don't tell you is that it is NOT for mast mounting. It has a permanently attached 15' cable and is designed for a surface or rail mount.
