Comments about CDX M30 CD Stereo Receiver:
Like so many others, my control panel failed after only a few outings, and could only be used (arduously) with the remote control. It defaults to a very obnoxious "Demo" mode every time power fluctuates during engine start, or when powered down, and causes flashing blue and red back lights, and sets off a flurry of SONY sales pitch text. Has to be reset frequently to work at all. Loses it's settings frequently. Difficult to set-up. Default "Demo" mode is an un-usable, and a dangerously distracting configuration, especially at night. Currently, have to remove the fuse to turn it off. Absolute wasted money.

Comments about CDX M30 CD Stereo Receiver:
I have had no problem with this model yet. THe boat does get stored indoors during the Winter, but in the water all SUmmer. It sounds great and I just added the SOny RM X60M to control it better. Has been great so far.

Comments about CDX M30 CD Stereo Receiver:
The connection points between the faceplate and base are very poorly designed and constructed. Pins stop making contact after short period, making faceplate and unit completely inoperable. Very common problem among everyone I know with this and sister models from Sony.
