Comments about Marine Premium Filler:
Great product. Very easy to use, even for a novice. No need to get into the complexity of fiberglass repair with this stuff -- just mix with the hardener, layer it on w/ a putty knife, fair, and off you go. Dries very quickly, easy to sand, just an overall great product.
Service and delivery comments:
Here's the second part of the review. Service was abysmal. West Marine sent the can out without the creme hardener that is supposed to be included. W/o the hardener, the filler is useless. (They also failed to include the hardener with a can of gelcoat I purchased. Seriously?!) Twice on the phone with customer service, each time I was told it was the manufacturer's fault and they'd have to get back to me. They never did. (Not surprising.) Eventually I went to the local fiberglass-everything store and bought a tube of hardener for $2 (what I should've done with the whole business in the first place). Bottom line: I have no intention of doing business with West Marine again.
