Comments about Scotchlite SOLAS Reflective Roll:

I used three 7-inch pieces on each side of my 16 foot sea kayak. Since I participated in moonlight cruises on rivers and the ocean with a club, I felt the glowsticks, SOLAS lights and a headlamp were inadequate for such a low profile craft. When illuminated by another craft's light, they become intensely white. Eventually the protective film cover delaminates - could be from water and/or sunlight. I managed to salvage many more years of use by removing the film and replacing it with clear 2" packing tape. The underlying reflective surface remained very effective. I highly recommend this product, but be aware that, at least on hard surfaces, removal will take elbow grease and potent solvents.
